Important information for the start of studies
On this site you will find important information for the begin of studies, that should facilitate your start. Please read them carefully and follow the guidelines.
Your S-Mail Account
A few days after enrolment, you will receive a PIN to activate your student account at the University of Cologne's regional computing center by e-mail to the e-mail address stored in the application portal. You will need this account, among other things, when you register for the modules, i.e. activation of the account is essential. If no PIN is sent to you or if technical difficulties occur, the regional computing center will support you. Timely registration for the modules
The registration for the modules takes place via KLIPS 2.0. Modules have to be chosen during the second application phase (August 24, 2023 - September 20, 2023). Tutorial programme
The student council organises a tutorial programme for Master's students to help you find your way around your studies in Cologne. You can find more information at https://fs-bio.uni-koeln.de/erstsemester-info/master-tutoriumsprogramm. The page will be updated before the start of the term and may also contain the dial-in link if the courses cannot take place in presence.
Introductory meeting
A welcome meeting will take place on Monday, 2nd of October at 02:00 p.m. online via Zoom. All first term students received an e-mail with a link to the meeting.
