Students in their 2nd or higher term (registered summer term 2020 or earlier) may replace up to two Subject modules by Lab modules (see PDF portfolio for detailed information). Laboratory modules may only be offered by academic supervisors of the M.Sc. Biological Sciences have to be registered without prior formal approval. Due to the current safety and hygiene regulations it may be challenging to find an offer for a laboratory module at the moment since restrictions apply to all labs.
All deadlines for submission of MSc Thesis, reports, etc. have been automatically extended for the time period teaching was on halt (5 weeks) and will be further extended upon informal request that is made before submission of MSc Thesis.
All personal consultation hours are cancelled until further notice. Consultations will be held by phone only. These are available by appointment or by invitation. Please send an Email to Dr. Jan Weber, Dr. Joachim Schmidt or Ms Renate Wuttke, in which you briefly describe your inquiry, please include your name, students registration number, and phone number.
Registration of MSc Thesis, lab modules, project modules and elective modules is possible by email (please send the digital filled forms or scanned copies as PDF files).

Please submit MSc Thesis by email (PDF file). Please include a signed and scanned copy of the “declaration” (PDF file). The MSc Office will contact the reviewers by Email to ensure an in time reviewing process.
MSc Thesis Defense meetings shall be held as video conferences. Thesis defense meetings may only be held in physical presence if online examination is not feasible, and only if all participants agree. The decision lies with the chair of the examination committee and the MSc examination board. The chair of the examination is responsible for compliance with the rules of hygiene.
